Monterey Bay Aquarium

A small video I put together with some of the footage I grabbed at the Monterey Bay Aquarium this past weekend. Shot with a Canon 5D Mark III, all handheld (obviously), using a 24-105 IS. Shot in Cinestyle and graded with Technicolor Color Assist. Due to the high ISO on many of the shots, Neat Video was used to reduce the noise.

Jesus Christ Superstar (Dubstep Remix)

Doing a test of a 360 degree move using a Kessler Revolution 2 motorized head mounted to a Pocket Jib with a Hercules 2 head, and Manfrotto Magic Arm. At first I didn’t think this type of shot would be possible, but I finally figured out how to mount the Rev 2 head upside down with the Hercules 2 head, making the shot possible.
Shot with a Canon 5D Mark III & 24-105 IS in Cinestyle. Graded with Technicolor Color Assist and Magic Bullet Mojo.

C100 External (Ninja 2 – ProRes) vs Internal (AVCHD) Quality

I was very surprised at the difference I was able to notice in the image quality on the C100 when comparing External vs Internal recording. I knew there was some difference (from everything I have read), but was very impressed when I did I side by side comparison shot. The real difference can’t even be fully seen in this jpeg, but look how blotchy and pixelated the image on the right is. I am noticing this in all of the shadows/dark areas.

A Journey Inside

A Journey Inside is an exploration of objects/spaces inside my house. None of these objects were taken from the outside world and placed inside specifically for the project. Most of the objects are exactly where the are every day, with the exception of only a couple, which I repositioned for the shots.
